KP:L doesn't seem to have as much variety of gameplay as Antistasi does.  While I'm not a big fan of being tied to just 2 maps, the AI seems to be better in Antistasi.  I like the way that weapons are unlocked a lot better than KP:L.  My biggest beef is with Antistasi besides the lack of maps is the economy which I've already discussed ad nauseum.

I'm thinking about unpacking one of the missions to see if I can figure out how to

  • adapt it for other maps to make for more replayability
  • fix the issues with the economy

Getting even one of those working would make it a much more enjoyable experience.  I've got a feeling it may take a while to get it done, though.

I dunno how you'd go about fixing the economy in Antistasi, but that gets my vote. KPL isn't unfun, and I do enjoy the greater access to toys, but you're right- it isn't terribly varied.

I think the other problem is just that summer is really our off-season, what with the weather, kids and grandkids out of school, vacations and the like- made all the more so because COVID vaccines are becoming widespread and people are finally able to go out with some feeling of comparative safety, after a year and change of being cooped up so as not to risk giving themselves or their loved ones a bad case of choking to fucking death on their own partially liquified lungs. Cabin fever on a nationwide scale, y'know?

FWIW, they updated Antistasi to 2.4. after we switched to KPL and made a couple QOL improvements I think you'll appreciate.

1. The commander now spends faction funds to buy vehicles, not just statics. No more pulling money from Petros to do that. If only the commander could also give faction money directly to players, that'd be half our issues with the economy done with, right there.

2. Statics now don't unlock, so placing them is a meaningful decision all the way until mid-game. It also means I won't be hoarding money and refusing to buy anything for anyone before we have ten grand to unlock HMGs. Doesn't work that way anymore.

3. Looting is much faster, and easier, with the changes made to the silver "surrender crates," now just called "loot boxes." Can carry them around, load them into trucks, load their contents (only non-unlocked items, which is what the game designates as "loot") directly into vehicles, buy empty ones at HQ directly for ten bucks, garage them like a vehicle to dump their contents into the arsenal (which also pays ten bucks each, even if you didn't buy it,) and most importantly, "loot to crate," which loads all non-unlocked "loot" items off the ground or nearby bodies into the crate. It's a hell of a lot faster. A few guys with these can strip everything useful from an entire newly-captured outpost and be gone before the QRF arrives. Shit's handy.

Just my two cents.

I have locked the voting on this one as it looks like the only interest is in a modified Antistasi mission.

The good news is that the official Antistasi Community edition is now being released on Steam on a variety of maps!  I'm going to test out a few to see which ones look the most interesting.  Right now, leading candidates are Malden, Chernarus Summer, Virolahti, and Tembelan Island.  (I'm just not a big fan of desert maps.  ;)  )

Once I narrow it down a bit I'm going to create another poll.
